October LGBTQ prisoner letter writing night

Come join us Thursday, Oct 19 for our monthly LGBTQ prisoner letter writing night! This month we are joining up with Ghost Town Prisoner Support, a local abolitionist group that writes mostly to political prisoners. We will be at Fresh and Best 2 at 1428 Alice St, Oakland, from 5:30-7:30. Fresh and Best 2 is wheelchair accessible, has food & drink available to purchase, and is 0.5 miles from both the 12th St and Lake Merritt BART stations. As always we will have letter writing supplies and addresses of folks to write to.

Prison Visits

We are continuing to visit some of our incarcerated members. If you have a penpal and are interested in visiting them, request that they send you a visitation form and then send it in. We can assist, if needed. We have visited Mule Creek State Prison, San Quentin and plan on returning to those as well as visiting CCWF, and possibly California Medical Facility and CSP-Sac.

Leadership

We continue to meet monthly to build our leadership team and our collective capacity. Email if you are interested in getting involved with leadership!
