We’re excited for June!

Core leadership folks will be meeting in the next week to put final touches on our plan for Pride and to discuss the next round of our study group, which will begin in the fall and will involve both free world and incarcerated participants. We welcome ideas for readings about prison abolition through a queer/trans lens that are both accessible and likely to make it through prison mail screening. We are also welcoming of new folks who want to get involved in local leadership!
Events:
Friday, June 19 at 7pm – we’re promoting, attending, and possibly tabling at the Outside the Frame Film Festival’s screening of Criminal Queers at Brava Theatre in SF. We’ll be helping collect donations for TGIJP at the event.
On Sunday, June 28, we’ll be in two places at once! We’ll be tabling at the SF Pride event (Civic Center area) and also hosting our regular letterwriting event from 3-5pm at Wicked Grounds Cafe (289 8th St in SF).
As always, we’re supporting TGI Justice Project with their Legal Support Mail Nights for queer and trans incarcerated folks. Every Tuesday night from 4-8.
